Classic Standing Jackalope Gallery

I call this one the Classic Standing Jackalope with emphasis on the Classic. This is because, in my experience, this photograph is the most used of all time in jackalope postcards. It also spans at least five states in postcards, another unique quality. So enjoy the diversity of its ubiquity.

Black border, left vertical text.

Black border bottom right text.

White border no text.

Black border large bottom text.

Green and tan.

Grass border.

Yellow and white border.

No border.

Scalloped.

In this one the imaged is reversed. Flowers!

In this one his image has been squeezed to look thinner.

Black border within a white border.

Here he is immortalized in copper.

Now he's in Texas.

Now he's in Texas with a white border.

Not only is the graphic design slightly different, but this is an oversized postcard.

Here he is with the almost-as-popular Petley jackalope.

Wyoming black.

Wyoming blue.

Utah. Notice the name of the discoverer of the Jackalope on this postcard is Kenneth Blackner, which is unique. Then notice this postcard was made by the Blackner Souvenir Co. Suspicious.

Colorado green.

Colorado blue.

Colorado no border. Also not my current address on back.

Colorado green and yellow.

Western green and yellow.

It's subtle, but notice that the "Western Jackalope" font is different between this card and the above.

This is the eastern-most example of a jackalope postcard I know of. No idea why Michigan.

Here he is again as the world's largest jackalope.

Another guy from Utah.

Another variation from Texas.

A different color than an above one.
