Miscellaneous Jackalope Gallery

These are guys I couldn't fit into any of the other galleries, and for that reason they are some of my favorite. Nothing's cooler than coming across a jackalope postcard with a unique picture that you never knew existed before.

Nice antlers on this guy.

Looks like the above one, but with no border.

This is the only jackalope I have that looks a little... mangy.

A very impressive specimen.

This one is unique in that he's standing on all fours in a way I don't think rabbits ever do.

This is a rare example of a true jackalope: a jack rabbit with antelope horns.

From the amazing jackalope exhibit in Dubois, Wyoming.

From the now defunct Elk Horn Cafe in Sundance, Wyoming.

A rare jackalope caught in the snow.

A beautiful copper card.

You may recognize this guy as one half of one of the couples in the couples gallery.

This one is very unique as the only Canadian jackalope postcard I've ever seen.

What a weird card. From exclaiming "A Jackalope!" to the rarity of seeing a jackalope this close to water and civilization, it's pretty unique.

Like the above true jackalope, but scalloped.

Like an above one, but white border instead of yellow.

Hard to see in a photo, but this unique fella is a 3D lenticular postcard!

This fella is unique not only because of the hooves and the name buck rabbit, but because he hails from Michigan.

Hey, Sean--

Mike Branch here, a writer from northern Nevada. Got your name from Andy Robbins, who did the Field Guide to the North American Jackalope. I'm currently writing a book on the jackalope (under contract with Pegasus Books) and would love to hear more about how you started collecting jackalope cards. (I have quite a few old ones too. If I have any duplicates you don't have, though that seems unlikely, I'd be happy to share.) Wasn't able to find an email for you, though. Would you mind dropping me a line at mbranch@unr.edu? Many thanks. Hope to hear from you.

Cheers, Mike
